i live in michigan, and am in process of divorce from coast guard member, who has ignored command, as well as the rules, to support me until divorce is final. he can't be ordered to pay, but there can be serious reprocussions, if he doesn't. am taking legal action, and am wondering if ther is any way the military can force him to obey the rules, or do i just have to waite for the court to order it, which the cg will then have to uphold.

Do you have children from this marriage? If not the military cannot and will not get involved in your situation without a court order. The the military manual it does list a guideline but it states that the military member shall pay NOT MUST pay sposual support and his commanding officer will side with him until the court order has been issued (the final divorce decree). My suggestion to you if you don't have children go out and get a job and start taking care of yourself. If you do receive sposual support you must pay taxes at the end of the year. But first things first GET A LAWYER!!!!
