My response:

Where did you get the idea that you had to "agree" to a divorce before a divorce could be granted?

If a divorce is granted, you may, in fact, wind up having to pay not only child support, but also spousal support.

I think you had better check with a local attorney so that your "belief system" doesn't foul you up from a legal standpoint; i.e., you might have certain, other, beliefs that could also be wrong about this subject.
