my husband left me on dec 10,2001 and we are going to have a dislutionment and he said that he will not pay the rent for me , he did take his name off the lease but we are still married. we have been only married 1year and a half buthe told my at first that he would pay for my rent until this is over, but then he said he won't pay. i need advice.

When the Petition for Dissolution is filed, you will need to ask for spousal maintenance or for payment of marital debts, such as the apartment rent.

Well why dont you get a roomate?

If the landlord protests that could be grounds for terminating the lease at no penalty to you.

A landlord cannot withold from you the right to honor and fully pay for the lease. The landlord took the husbands name off the lease, so that means you have a right to have someone else put on the lease. Since it was leased to TWO people.

OR maybe be you can move back with your parents
