how can I get the judge to grant me official standing

you can't. Now, if you are being honest about this, contact the proper authorities.

Your continued watching of the porn without reporting it to the proper authorities is starting to look like you are watching it for the sake of watching it rather than because of your concern for any minors.

No definitely not

an attourney told me

Only in VERY rare cases, where a case directly impacts on other people, will a court allow a case to proceed where there is no "actual controversy in law", and where no-one with standing has brought an action.

reason I ask

So, since everyone is telling you the same thing, why are you still here?

You've been told what your options are.

Let us settle this ... what is the name of the show, and on what network or channel is it being broadcast?

*IF* it involves some provable criminal act, *I* will make the necessary contacts. Fair enough?

what about a citizen suit?

you were given direction that would provide the most effective action (see CDWJava's post). Your continued desire to want to sue, especially since you have no standing to sue, shows your lack of actually trying to get this off TV and prosecuted, if it is actually illegal.

You may as well make up your mind to this: YOU will not be given standing to sue based on what you have posted here.

If your REAL concern is for the child, then you can follow Carl's suggestion, contact him with the info, and allow a true LEO to review it and then make the appropriate contacts.

If your REAL concern is for you, personally, to file a lawsuit, then you may as well stop wasting everyone's time because it isn't going to happen.

Edited to add: Oh, man, check the posting hx here. This guy thinks he's Truman Burbank.

its on cable and the fcc does not regulate cable.
Incorrect, it's just regulated differently than OTA TV.

Again, if you're not the victim (or the parent/guardian) of the victim, you've got no right to anything. If the parents are remiss or the actual violators you *MIGHT* get some judge to appoint someone (maybe you) to act on the child's behalf in lieu of the parents. But don't get your hopes up.

...If there is a tv show showing a minor having sex but it is censored and it is still illegal and the DA is not pressing charges...

...its on cable...In one case i know of a parent let their child smoke weed and smoked with them and there is proof of this...the parents are the ones that put him on camera and he doesnt even know about it, can I help the child?

So you are personally acquainted with this 'child', and you know for a fact that he is a minor, and not a young actor portraying a child?
