Starting Business-S Corp

What is the name of your state?Minnesota
My wife and I want to start a business using the S corporation. I'm trying to do all my home work first. Question- Where can I find information for all deductibles and business write off expenses? Would like to do as much planning as possible. I have a friend who's a cpa but I'd like to be informed as much as possible be for I ask him. Sides, he kinda busy this time of year.
