What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

I was told by my lawyer that the judge will not accept a statement from my sons Psychiatrist and she will have to appear at the hearing. Needless to say the DR is not happy and is going to charge me an entire days worth of lost appointments for her appearance.

Why wont the court accept a professionals statement?

Talk about more stress.....ughhhhhh

ok That makes sense.....but the Psychiatrist is stating his diagnosis....His counseller will also be there....She is the one that talks with him.

The phychiatrist diagnoses and treats him with medication.

That's the diff between a psychiatrist and a counselor.

This situation you describe is not in the least unusual.
