Warning from
Product Label: Eye irritant / Flammable. Contents under pressure. Do not use near fire, flame, or sparks or while smoking. Never spray and pull garments apart at the same time, as this action creates static which is in itself an electric charge and may in rare instances cause a spark of electricity which could possibly ignite. Do not puncture, incinerate or crush. Do not expose to heat or store at temperatures above 120 degrees F. as can may burst. Do not use if spray button is missing or defective. Avoid spraying in eyes. Contains dimethyl ditallow ammonium chloride. In case of contact with eyes flush freely with large amounts of water for 15 minutes. If irritation persists, get medical attention. Keep out of reach of children. Use only in well ventilated areas. Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling the contents can be harmful or fatal.
Acute Health Effects: From MSDS
Effects of Overexposure: Product may cause moderate to severe eye irritation. Vapors may cause slight irritation of mucous membranes. High vapor concentrations may cause CNS depression. CNS depression may be evidenced by giddiness, headache, dizziness and nausea.
Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Prolonged exposure may aggravate preexisting eye, skin and respiratory disorders. Impaired liver function from preexisting disorders may also be aggravated.
Chronic Health Effects: MSDS: Studies in laboratory animals involving prolonged and repeated exposures to ethyl alcohol have resulted in such effects as liver damage embryotoxicity, fetotoxicity, and teratogenicity. A transient mutagenic effect has been reported in rats.
