What is the name of your state? New Jersey

Child support is paid directly to CP. Son graduates college in May 2008.

Since both parents agree that child support ends upon graduation (it also states that in divorce judgement) I thought all that was needed was a consent order signed and notorized and submitted to court.

When I sent to CP to sign she was mad and said she never heard of such a thing and was not signing it also said she talked to her lawyer that told her that it was not mandatory.

I did do some research before hand and that is what I found out. (or so I thought)

Now I am questioning myself. Does anyone know if it is necessary or can I just stop paying child support upon his graduation.

Thanks in advance

Is consent Order needed

I am hoping someone here has been through the same thing and can offer advice if one of the senior members cannot answer the question.

Is a consent order needed to stop child support if both parents agree that it ends upon graduation? I thought I read that Yes it is needed.

Ex is saying her lawyer said it is not needed. I know, don't listen to ex, but now it has me wondering, if maybe I am wrong and not needed.

Any advice?

Thanks
