What is the name of your state? We are from Nevada.

We are a small home business dealing with consumer products. We have a website to sell our products.

My question is, can we capture and store the credit card information which is used to make purchases from our site? We want to do this to blacklist the credit card if anything goes wrong.

Please advise as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Most all businesses keep a copy of transactions for their records. However, your reasoning doesn't make sense to me. If you have a problem with the charge then you will notified and you will have that information then. I think you are wanting it for a different reason. The reasoning may depend on your answer.

If someone steals that info from you and uses those numbers for fraud can you affford the Lawsuits? You will most likely be held liable for the protection of that information. I would check with a lawyer before trying anything like that. Read the news, some companies are paying out big bucks just for that type of info getting compromised.
