Why is everybody assuming I am talking about gay couples?

If a MAN and a WOMAN are in the apartment and are engaged but not yet married, does the co-op have the right to charge them more because they are not married yet?

**A: yes, if one of them is not on the lease or an owner of the coop unit.

You asked: "If a MAN and a WOMAN are in the apartment and are engaged but not yet married, does the co-op have the right to charge them more because they are not married yet?"

A more basic question is that if a man and a woman share the same apartment, (or a man and a man, or a woman and a woman) does the co-op have the right to inquire as to the nature of their sexual relationship (are you two sleeping together or not?) in the enforcement of any charge?

Where would we put that on the application?

We are really getting off of the original topic here...

**A: you are getting off. I DID NOT ask that question.
