Panze, please don't tell me that you are a professional person, portraying yourself as a nurse or physican?, who is actually giving medical advice from your personal experiences?
I am a Nurse Practitioner, licensed in 2 states and have Board Certification in Family Practice.
I also hold membership in the American Society for Pain Management, and used to specialize in Pain Management.

What are YOUR credentials???

So what difference does my credentials make, panz? How are my credentials significant? I am not in a competition for knowledge. You cannot compete. Do you see that yet?

Your credentials are significant, if you are going to offer advice (medical) as you have been doing....

I can't seem to find the post that Butterscotch made which was insulting my intellegence again. I tried to correct myself once, but now she is blatantly putting words into my mouth. If you are so up on your medicine, why do you not know what a bite stick is? Why do you not know that it is common to use 1cc/100 unit insulin syringes? Your replies are getting more and more confusing as you post, as if you have run out of referances to read from to make your points.

At this point, I am not worried about what credentials you have. I work with physicians on a daily basis that are morons, while others are very bright. I have even seen a few that are in court on a regular basis to testify for families just to make money and make false statements based of the little knowledge of the subject they have.

Umm Todd,

Is there any question in your mind why one lawyer already dumped her after her hubby did?

This lady is off her meds or going senile.

Thanks for sharing Shay-

You gave incorrect advice to the troll.

Happy ignoring! If you think you can.

You are in serious trouble then. I tried not to upset you, but the fact is, BIPOLAR is treated very well with medications. Where is your mother and does she still think you are in the military after two years of being gone?

I really do not buy into your story at all. Thank You for not serving our country though.

This is from a website shay pointed to in her Classic “unfriendly, not a real lawyer” manner (Marriage Laws in the USA - by Age)

Shay has gained tremendous recognition for her medical/mental health advice on FA and many others with comments like “are you nuts?” and “too bad your meds aren’t working”. These are similar to her wise legal advice.

Shay why don’t you take your own advice-

Good grief rmet! Talk about beating a dead horse. Your like an internet stalker that makes sure every OP's business is sprawled out. You also follow posters to other forums then try to air their dirty laundry. Why don't you panze and Belize get your own forum that way you can track everyone's IP's as well.

Mutual respect

I am gone for a day and this happens and spreads to another poster's thread as well?

I reposted this thread because it had value to other posters who might have a similar question about whether they had a cause of action for a medmal lawsuit because a child suffers a febrile seizure while under a physician's treatment and what is the standard of care in such situations. This question was answered several times and everyone of the professional members agreed. Just because that OP didn't like the answers they got and complained doesn't negate all the hard work and relevant responses that were posted by many of the professionals on these boards, that is the reason why after it was deleted, I reposted it, not for this thread to become a playground for sniping and bickering, the moon isn't quite full yet and there is no excuse.

There was a new member who had not clarified some of their statements and now that is done following some challenge and explaining of the rules the rest is uncalled for. I will expect some apologies. We may not always agree with each other and it is healthy to provide a citation or other material when making a challenge, but we need to remain objective and focus on the question at hand, not attacking each other which in the end undermines everyone's credibility.

I am assuming by "new poster" you mean me. I tried apoligizing and made myself clear and stated my real proffession and qualifications. I have them in my profile to see also. I failed to read that this was for a poster long gone. I don't feel that my original post was way off base though. Even after clarifying and apoligizing, I still had my words and thoughts twisted to something that it wasn't and made me look bad. I did, however, failed to keep this a law board and will try to keep any medical talk to a minimum.

I apoligize to the board and to its' members not involved. I just really didn't care to have someone insult me the way they did, especially with the twisting of my post. This will be my last post in this thread and the other thread.

Yes you were the new poster and thank you for clariflying your credentials even though you placed them in the profile not everyone checks these but when you use terms like "WE" people will draw associations, so had you qualified your statement originally "my wife, an ER physician and myself, an EMT" .... there would have been no confusion. When Panzertanker originally came here, there was confusion that he was a physician because his scope of practice as a NP etc included duties normally restricted to physicians but for which he as qualified in his state. The issue was discussed and we all moved on not that there have not been disagreements but eventually we learn more about the member's strength's and weakneses and some mutual respect is developed. It is ok to discuss th emedical issues as long as they are relevant to the legal question if there actually is a legal quesiton, often there isn't and it is more an educational forum. As for the original poster, the thread had been deleted 2 or 3 days before. Many posters get upset when they don't receive the advice or support they seek and lash out in many ways, one of which is to delete a thread, in time this will become more clear to you. The thread was reposted for educational purposes.
