What is the name of your state? PA

My X is owes more than $7000 in arrears. A bench warrant was issued in June 2003 and still has yet to be served. I call the domestic relations office regularly, periodically call and mail letters to the support enforcemnt department(they do not answer phone or reply to any of my messages or letters). I have been told by domestic relations that there is nothing I can do but wait. Is this true?? Isn't there anything I can do??

Me and My Mother have encountered a problem simialar to yours only my father did not pay support during mine and my brothers childhood. as of now (26) years later he owes in excess of $110,000 and nothing will be done. It has involved 3 states and 7 counties and the reasons vary from the case has been misplaced to the case worker has retired. We have provided all the information they could ever need including all present addresses, phone numbers, employment addresses, all the way down to is known bank accounts. Still nothing. Last year he even used my brothers ss# for credit purposes and my brother went to Indiana (where it happened) and filed police reports and even gave fathers address and phone number. NOTHING! My father has a rap sheet a mile long, is known to be useing other peoples ss#'s, and owes this much child support, considered a felony, and nothing will be done. It is not even about the money we just want to see him get the justice he deserves.

I went through this same thing. In July a bench warrant was issued for my x. Their was nothing I could do but just sit and wait till they caught him. I did call the police department and talked to them about it and gave them any info that I could.

I just hope that he doesn't get off as easy as my x did when they finally arrested him. Instead of having to pay the money to get out they let him out on his word he would get a job by the court date and start paying his cs. Ofcourse he had a job for the court date, but quit right after. So i'm back where i started.

Does your X see you child?

Seems like it took well over a year for my ex to get arrested on a bench warrant. He was 20,000+ in arrears. Do not count on getting anything done soon. I finally wrote my congressman, governor, senator, attorney general, etc. I'm not sure if it helped, but he did finally get arrested a couple of months after that. the wheels of justice turn oh so slowly. Good Luck.
