my question is in regards to a suspended liscence. My boyfriend was recently pulled over for having white signal lights instead of yellow and he found out through the cop that his liscence was suspended. About 2 years ago he was involved in a car accident, which was his fault, he was driving his momthers car but he was not on the insurance policy because he didn't live with her. they believed the insurance had taken care of the liability charges, but now the DMV won't give his liscence back until he either pays 5,000 dollars or proves that the car was insured. he got the insurance to fax a letter claiming that the car was insured but the DMV wont issue his liscence again until they see HIS name on the insurance paper, but that is unlikely to happen since he was not the one insured and the insurance is giving him a really hard time about it because they don't want to pay for the charges. he just recently purchased a car and there is no way that he can lose his liscence because he needs to get to and from work to be able to pay his bills. how should he approach the situation? he spent the whole day calling places and I drove him around back and forth but he got nowhere. please any advice would help. thank you
