help anyone out there?testimony of treating physician

What is the name of your state? california
personal injury civil case

if i do not have any expert witnesses, but have a general doctor, a double board certified neurologist, a double board certified pain management anesthesiologist treating me the past year and have no history of injury related or otherwise to accident...when they testify as non expert witnesses, will i be able to ask them enough to establish my injury, the bills paid so far, that it was caused by the accident (also have other witnesses first hand accounts, etc), etc.?

if the deadline for naming expert witnesses passes a week ago, is there a way to still get experts named? what?

but basically...is it possible to win a case without expert witnesses and just doctors testifying at trial.

thanks!!

ps: i know i shouldn't be pro se...you aren't here to put me through law school...i better get down to the law library...need more than nolos...etc. i know all that, but please answer my question if you can. i greatly appreciate it.

I would beleive that a professinal doctor can testifie but chances are if you do not have an expert wittness,a doctor. you would most likly lose because a doctor expert wittness is accualy evidence him self:rolleyes: for example a woman accused a man of rape there was no pysical evidence though man is in jail facing trial a doctor who examoned the victim knows if she was raped because of his examination.im not a expert but ive been though enough legal promlems thats just what i think

From Connecticut, but have been in several (not my fault) accidents,,the MD's treating me could say on the stand, "I was hurt in these accidents, and theses are my injuries as a result of same"....and unless you have another injury in the same place, (old one) that can be questioned.. Which was first.. I don't think you would need more then this to prove you got hurt in this case, or how..Why haven't you hired an attorney? They'd be beating down your door here... Good luck. Aren't MD's experts in medical injuries that they are treating you for?
