If my landlord has obtained a Writ of Possession and Judgement for Possession from the court to evict me from my apartment is there a time limit in which I must be served by the sheriff or police or can my landlord just hold on to it and have it served whenever my landlord decides? In other words is there an expiration date on these papers?

Call the court and ask and if they won't tell you, call the sheriff's dept. There may well be a timelimit in which the landlord has to order you removed from the property.

Get ready to go, a Sheriff may be comming to pin a notice or it may have all ready been pinned on your door and been taken by someone.

Once the notice has been issued a date is set where the sheriff will turn up to kick you out and a lock smith to change the locks..

Do not sit around this is not going away, landlord went to court for a reason not just to sit in court and enjoy him self.
