What is the name of your state? California

Hi, I just purchased a used car that has 35k miles on it and factory warranty till 50k or 09/2008. I didnt realize that the tires on the vehicle need to be replaced. I totally over looked the tires as I just wanted the car.

Is there a safety law that requires a dealer to sell a car w/ a certain amount of tire tread? Being that I have the car and drove it off (2 months ago) am I just out of luck or can I still do something about it legally?

Thanks,
MO

Buy your own tires. Even if I thought the dealer had to help you out, you've had the car for TWO MONTHS already.

Thats not a problem at all. Just wanted to know if I had to come out of pocket $800-$900 just yet.

Thanks

Yep - the time to negotiate that was when you were buying the car. Chalk it up to experience...and look out next time ;)
