I was researching visitation plans for the CP and NCP of infants and I found some VERY useful information...I just thought I would share this website in case anyone was interested in taking a look....

http://www.attachmentparenting.com/proffox.shtml

The title of the article is:

A Letter to the Court
By Isabelle Fox, Ph.D
"OVERNIGHTS" AND OTHER CUSTODY/VISITATION ARRANTEMENTS WITH DIVORCED OR SEPERATED PARENTS OF INFANTS AND TODDLERS.

It contains A LOT of helpful and useful information!

wow, i hope never have to endure that.....but it made a wonderful point. as a mother to a 10 month old (and 2 older children) i have learned my patience with a baby. calming a screaming child takes a minute or so for me. but for my husband, his patience was a bit less then what i would like. not because he is a bad father, he just doesn't have the same level experience as i do. so yeah, to have him take a child so young over night...i would really make me panic. and probably stress himself out more so. and everyone knows, the more stressed out the parent gets, the more stressed out the child gets.

that was some awesome information! THANK YOU.

no prob! i owe this forum a lot, THEY are the reason that I've been able to find this information, so i want to be as much help to anyone as i can who is in my situation...can't answer legal questions, but i can definitely share the information i find :)

Nice job. We answer questions about infant/toddler overnights ALL THE TIME. Maybe new posters will Search & see this article BEFORE they start in with all the reasons why NOT to allow infant/toddler visitation. ;)

And I can see them using this article to prove exactly that since it states that infants should not have overnight visitation with their non-primary caregiver and that they are contraindicated.

Peanuts, when I saw this post, my first thought was: TROUBLE.

You're being very nice and that's cool. :)

But you do not know the "culture" of this board, and all the weirdos that come here. You don't know how hard it is to convince them that two people made the baby, and now two people have to share the baby.

I kinda wish you hadn't posted it. I think it's gonna cause US more trouble.

It is possible that it will cause more trouble. Posters shouldn't get their hopes up based on these type of articles.

If you search long enough, anyone can find an "article" that supports what they want, that is not necessarily how the individual courts will see it, or actually handle it. BTDT

Hey that was my first thought. That someone is gong to read that and then try to say that because this internet article says so that overnights should not happen until the child is three. They are contraindicated. That will be the group that reads this and really takes it to heart. I know you don't like that idea. But....

Yeah, see what I get for not reading the link? :o When I did go read the entire article I was VERY irritated. That 'quack' Phd is theorizing no child should go on overnights with their PARENT until they are 3 yrs old.

I would shred her :D
