What is the name of your state? Arkansas

I am in the process of cleaning up my credit reports.
1st USA has been reporting Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, Balance $9203, Past Due $9203, Charged off as bad debt.
I had been disputing this as it was included in my bankruptcy.
Transunion sent me a form letter stating they consider my dispute to be frivolous & will not reinvestigate unless I provide them with court papers (which they show my bankruptcy at the top of their credit report, so they are aware of it) or a recent, authentic letter from the creditor that explains what information should be updated.

How can I get them to correct this listing? It should read Included in Bankruptcy, 0 Balance, 0 Past due
I've read everything I could both on this board and Creditboards.com & I must be missing something that could help me.
Also, I now have 2 different Report # with transunion, is this normal?
Thank you.

You're up against a real nasty creditor who DELIBERATELY persecutes people who file BK against them. Bank1/FUSA insists that they are reporting correctly and will absolutely REFUSE to report the debt as IIB. They're wrong, what they report must be accurate, COMPLETE, and verifiable. If the account was not charged-off before you filed BK, it is NOT ACCURATE (and not allowed per the FTC). It is NOT COMPLETE because they are not reporting it as IIB.

You are not alone in this fight, believe me, they do this to everyone and its going to take one HUGE class action to make them stop. Head over to www.creditboards.com and seach for a thread titled "FUSA must be stopped' .. you'll see there are a LOT of people fighting this.

Ladynred, Thank you, I was hoping you would reply!
1st USA is showing my BK, but still showing the other. I will check out that site again & the link you provided.

Now, how do I treat Transunion with the "frivious" disputes?

And how would I know the account with 1st USA was charged off? I had at one time gotten on one of their "special" programs to help me catch up, but I was still receiving bills & paying them up to the month I filed Chapter 7. I don't know if they charged my account off or not.

Oh & in my mailbox this morning I received a form letter from Bankone (1st USA) with two attached letters, one of which they want me to sign. Neither of the two applies.

One is an Affidavit of Fact- Fraudulent Credit Application...which states I never applied for a credit card, nor have I relinquished any personal information for the purpose of obtainning credit with them.

The other, an Affidavit of Acceptance of Liability, stating that I did, in fact, apply for the card. That I am no longer disputing any liability for that account.

As I said, neither applies & I am not stupid. I just want them to report the account as IIB and 0 amount due, 0 amount past due & to quit dinging my frigging credit!!!

Please, I need a form letter....

Do NOT return their damn forms !! You are NOT LEGALLAY LIABLE for the account, BK wiped out your liability !!

There is no form letter to use with these scumbags at FUSA/B1. Read the thread I referred to on creditboards. You're likely going to have to sue the bastages - and others have gone as far as Federal court and not won - yet.

As for TU, wait a couple of months and dispute it again, but change the dispute ! If you dispute the SAME info more than once they will ignore you with the 'frivolous' crap.
