I was arrested last night for trespassing at a University. I was in the bathroom of a class building and 2 cops came in and asked me to come out. Since I wasn't a student (though, I am an almni), I was arrested for trespassing. Spent 2 hours in the campus police station before being handed over to the Chicago police station. I was fingerprinted, photographed, and was held in several cells for about 5 hours. I have a trial date. Now what? The campus police said that I will probably only get supervision, but I've read posts on the internet that there is possiblity of fines and/or jail time! I've never been arrested before (not even a speeding ticket). What should I expect at trial??? Thanks.

I was in the correct (male) bathroom. I was having stomach problems so was in there for awhile. Since I was having stomach problems, and needed to go to the closest bathroom, I went into the 1st building closest to me.

That's all they needed. The rest is irrelevant.
