Trial and what I can do

So now I get it!! Thank you all. What I will do is ask that the trial be cancelled and leave the court order as is. Let this man come anytime he wants and pick up the kids so that he can be dad. I am so happy someone found the right thing to do.

That way the kids could not ever make plans to go to friends/families houses because they have to wait to see if their father will be coming to get them. All that anticipation builds up…”yeah I get to see dad this weekend” and then finally the disappointment when the man never shows up. I think that is great. I look forward to watching my children go through this wonderful part of their lives. I am so happy that I found the answers through all of your help.

As far as me saving up extra money for college, I sure hope that I win the lottery. Oh maybe we could all move to CO. Such a wonderful place I here.

For real, I did not think that one stupid legal question could spring so much hatred from total strangers that think they know me and my position based on “seeing and hearing it all before” You really do not know me or my life. This will be my last comment and statement and I will never return to this Free Advice website. You know they say that free advice is not always the best advice….it is just free. I never really got advice from most of you, just judgments and personal opinions. For that I am sorry that I wasted so much time and emotion on this whole thing.

My ex-husband is the exact same way. He hardly every sees his daughter. It drove me up the freaking wall, but every once in a while, when he did call to see her (at the last min.) I always let her go. I can not tell you how many times my daughter and I sat at the "meeting place" for over an hour with her crying, only for him to not show up.
I went through this for years. I never went back to court to take away his visitation--as much as I wanted to. I said to myself that I my daughter would never tell me that I kept her from him.
She is now 8. She doesn't ask about her dad. She sees now that he let her down, not me! I never said a bad word about her to her.
Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and realize that you slept with this man. You helped create this life with him. YOU CHOSE HIM.

There are so many mothers in this world going through the same thing you are. Grow up and realize that you are being selfish. Give him the rope, and he will probably hang himself with it. I know that it will hurt your child. There is nothing you can do about that, but give her all the love you can. You can not force him to see his kids just like you can't prevent him from seeing his kids.
You have 2 options--Drag your kids back to court. Take his visitation away (if you can convince a judge). Your kids will hate you for it some day
OR
Do what you can, and leave him out of it. If he shows up great, if he doesn't, your kids will see that one day.
It is your choice, but please stop blaming everyone on this site. It is not their fault you slept with an idiot.

That part I really do understand and if that is your true motivation for this then I say go for it.... Also I do agree that some of the people here are a tiny bit defensive and judgemental. MAkes me wonder about their lives.
