I was in an accident a while back. I backed into a car in a parking lot. It wasn't much of a hit, but I got sued for $5,000. The lady claimed the damage to her car was $1,500, and her and her daughter's medical bills were $3,500. This was total BS. I took pictures of the damage to her car and mine. There was a huge dent to her back fender, and her estimate included her bumper. There was little damage to my bumper. I lined up the dents to both cars and they didn't match up. The impact of what ever caused the damage to her car happened about 6 inches lower than where the damage was to my car. Her doctor bills were a little fishy, but I couldn't prove it. Well, I lost the 1st case and the appeal. Now I'm on the hook for $5,000. Her next door neighbor contacted me because he didn't like how his former friend was screwing me over. He dropped the info on me. He said that the car was already damaged, which I already knew. He also told me that her doctor bills were fake. He said that a nurse at a clinic wrote the whole thing up. They used a doctor that is retired. I went to the doctors office to try to get a hold of the doctor. I was given a phone number that led me to an answering machine. What can I do? I was told that I couldn't appeal this again. I'm figuring I need to find this doctor. Any advice how I can do this? This woman lied on the medical report. She said that she hadn't had any medical problems in the past 10 years. But I pulled up a file that showed she sued a store for a slip and fall for $5,000 about 7 years ago. She won $2,000. This women got me good. I don't want to be on the hook for all of this money. Her neighbor said that she was going to file papers with the DMV that wouldn't allow me to register a car, or renew my DL. He told me that I could file a form(SR22) to block this. Does anybody know if this is true? Any advice in this matter will be helpful.

I am not a lawyer but i see a case of fraud here. Get your neighbor tha told you that the car you hit was allready damaged to sign an affidavit and get all your paper work and go to your DA and file charges on the woman for obtaining money under false pretense, perjury, fraud, conspiracy to comet fraud and then file charges against the people who wrote up the medical report.
