What is the name of your state? California

I am in the process of trying to repair my credit from my stupid younger days of spending more than I made (partially due to the fact that I lived with a sugar daddy at the time and when I moved out I couldn't pay the bills anymore). The past is past and I'm trying to correct it!

Anyway, I've tried like heck to work with one of my credit card companies on a card that was charged off a couple of years ago. It's affiliated with a bank, and I have called and been transferred a multitude of times. No one in any department of that company has any idea where I need to go with this. I want to get this off my credit report and in my mind the company is not cooperating...no one at any of the numbers I've called is willing to do the research to point me in the right direction. Is there anything I can do???

It is highly unlikely that the original creditor will agree to delete the negative information from your credit report. Once in a blue moon, maybe.

Another information website for credit repair is www.creditinfocenter.com.

Read everything first before you start firing off dispute letters.

Well, the reason no one at the creditor can help you is because they probably SOLD the debt off a long time ago to some collection agency ! They don't keep 2 yr old debts on their books, they write them off as a bad debt, get their tax break, then sell it to a junk debt buyer and/or collection agency.
