What is the name of your state? WA
My daughter was in the intersection waiting to turn left. The light turned red and she had to get out of the intersection so she started to complete her turn. In the mean time a car ran the red light and swerved to miss her but failed. My daughter got out of her car and the girl that hit her immediately said I am sorry I ran the red light it is totally my fault I was on my way to my dying grandfather. My daughter got her information but the girl didn't even care to get my daughters info. Since there were no apparent injuries police will not come to the accident. THey left and called insurance companies to get the ball rolling. Now the girl says that the light was green and my daughter turned in front of her. Even though it is a really busy intersection no one would say they saw the accident. Everyone just said I don't want to get involved. NOw the both insurance companies are siding with the other girl. Is there any thing we can do?

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but it seems that the daughter is at fault. Both cars were in the intersection when the light was red, so all things being equal, the daughter turned into the lane of the oncoming car, resulting in the crash. I know in my state, Massachusetts, one can only enter a intersection to turn once it is clear. If she had been doing that, the light would have changed to yellow, then to red, while she was out the intersection, and no crash would have occured.

BS.

My wife got swiped on I5 and pulled off and called the police for a hit and run. A state trooper came. There was very little damage to the car (nothing rubbing compound didn't fix) and NO injuries whatsoever to either party.

Police will come to any accident, injuries or not. How long it takes them, now that is a different story...

In some states, IF the light had indeed turned red, your daughter was not at AS MUCH fault as the other driver as you are required to clear the intersection.

Because the police did not come (and they should have especially when an intersection accident was involved) it sounds like it is going to be a "You pay for yours, she pays for hers" situtation.
