What is the name of your state? SC
My husband bought a car in Jan '05, without me being present. The car dealership ran my credit history without my knowledge, and when I questioned this action, they denied having done so! I have since reviewed my credit history and found out that they actually did access my information without my consent. How can I repair the damage that they have done and how were they able to access my information without my, or my husbands conscent?

You are correct; they had no authorization to run your credit w/o your consent. If you have a copy of your credit report, contact the Bureau which inquiry was reported on and report them to the legal division. The legal division does take unauthorized credit inquiry access very seriously... happened once to me (claimed it was an "error") and company lost their account with Equifax as a result of it!

what damage was done by the credit history review? Did your husband include your income information as part of his financing paperwork?
