What is the name of your state? California.

A fight broke out at a bar, and as we were leaving to the parking lot (supermarket) next to the venue, i got chased and tackled down by 3 bouncers. Couldn't tell what was going on since i was in a headlock, i got punched and lost a front tooth and got a busted lip. I want to press charges against the bar, but I am under 21. Do I still have a case? By the way does the fact that the crime occured outside of the bar on property such as a supermarket parking lot help me in any way?
After reading the ensuing posts, it appears that the bouncers' versions of events will be somewhat different than yours.

If you spoke to the police, and they decided to do nothing, it may well be that it is not in your interest to do anything. However, you CAN go to the police and demand a report and that something be done. It doesn't mean that anything will, but if you make enough of a stink they might. Of course, they may also charge you with a misdemeanor for going in to the bar.

If the assault was unprovoked and not in self defense, they committed a felony. Your attending the bar was a misdemeanor. The officer SHOULD have taken some kind of report of the incident - his failure to do so was a boo-boo in my opinion ... though I agree with his opinion that this is what happens when you drink and act out.

You can insist upon making a criminal complaint by contacting the police and then the DA. You can also hire an attorney and sue the bar for your dental bills. Either way, you will likely be facing some added expenses.
