Unmarried closing on Friday

Please help. I am closing on a home on Friday with my boyfriend of five years. Everything is great so far but I am about to panick. What happens if someday I (or he) wants to leave the relationship? Can I force him to buy me out or sell? Or can I make him leave me the house? I am just concerned that someday I may be stuck. I was almost sleepless over this thought last night. Is it too late to be asking this question?

If you are both purchasisng the home jointly then hold title as Tenants in Common. You should also hire an attorney to make some sort of an agreement between the two of you to allevivate your fears.

What if he thinks it is not necessary and will not consider it? Can I ask the court to make him?

No, because this is not even a court case.
I suggest that you hold up closing for a couple days until you get this matter resolved.
