What is the name of your state? IN
I am a US citizen engaged to a French citizen. He is currently in France finishing a degree while I am still in the US attending professional school. He plans to attend school here in the US next year, and I am going to attempt to transfer to the state where he will be attending school. We would like to go ahead and get married in order to begin the greencard process, but are concerned about his being able to enter the US to attend school if his greencard is still pending. We would apply for the K 3 visa, but if I am unable to transfer, we will still be separated for another year. We are concerned that this fact will result in the rejection of his K 3 visa because we will not be reunited until I can get transferred. We would wait to marry, but don't want to lose any more time on getting his greencard filed, since they take such a long time to process. We are so anxious to be together, but are also both very driven and want to finish our degrees so we can start our lives together. What should we do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
