Using aliases

I send emails with gardening information to people who signed-up to receive my newsletter. I also own an online store.
If I identify myself, in those emails, by "a fake name" from "my store's real name", am I doing something illegal?

So let's say your store's name is XYZ Flowers and you are sending emails from an address like XYZFlowers@xxxxx.com.

No, nothing illegal in that.

Anything that is put in a commercial email to mislead the sender is actually illegal. However, using a fake person's name (as long as it's not confusing with someone else) and the real company isn't a problem.

SallySoilDigger@XYZFlowers.com is fine.
MarthaStewart@XYZFlowers is not.

Are you in the U.S., Eddie? Laws vary in some significant ways from country to country.

In the U.S., aliases are only illegal when used with an intent to deceive.

No, I'm not in the U.S.
However, since I send my newsletter to US citizens I have the responsibility to comply with the US spam rules. And this is why I ask all those questions.
