vacation time

parties are granted 2 week vacation time for a one year period, and can be taken in one week increments. dad is taking a 1 week vacation from sunday - sunday. now his normal visitation days are monday and tuesday. when he returns home from vaca on sunday, he would still have his normal monday and tuesday immediatly after? or does he forfeit that time?

of course the order makes no mention of it just states parties are allowed two weeks of vacation time.

Generally, summer visitation overrides regular visitation. But a lot depends on how the order is actually written.

Since that time applies to both parties it is in addition to regular time. It is not in place of the schedule.He gets his one week (which is normally only 7 consecutive days (Sunday through Saturday and NOT the following Sunday)) but he does not lose his Monday or Tuesday in the following week. He could piggy back but again Sunday through Sunday is 8 days not seven. Nor does he get to add the MOnday and Tuesday within those days as non vacation days. In other words he can't say I will take Sunday as vacation, Monday and Tuesday are regular days, then Wednesday through Sunday are five more days to make it six total then I get Monday and Tuesday and then Wednesday would be the seventh day.
Some parents would actually try what i just attempted to explain in order to get 11 days and only 7 vacation days.
