Vehicle Values??

What is the name of your state?Colorado
What is the best way to determine car values??
I have looked online at a few different sites. I have gotten values from 2500 to 8000 for my truck. Some sites seem to take condition into consideration and some don't. I don't know what value to go with, I don't want it to look like I am trying to decive the trustee or courts but I don't want to end up loseing my truck becuase it is over the $3000 exemption. Any ideas would be great.

I took my vehicle to several different dealerships and got written appraisals for how much they would buy it from me outright. I then averaged the given appraisales and rounded off the final figure. Dealerships will usually appraise at wholesale levels. My 1996 Nissan Quest appraised at $1200 even though I could probably sell it for $4000-$5000

I had my 341 meeting three days ago and the trustee didn't ask any question about the van at all. In fact he just asked about four or five "yes or no" type questions and I was out of there. Was a Chap 7 no asset case, of course.

Subtract from that value the cost of any needed repairs. Print out the quote from that site, which DOES take condition into account, and take with you just in case you're asked how you came up with the value.

I have tryed kbb and got a value of 4190 for trade in value and also used edmonds and got a value 2697, just tryed the black book which was recomended and got 7150 do I print all out and just average all together? I will also try the dealership today. Update: I went to the dealership today and they said to buy it they would give me $1000 if I were to trade it in for something else it would be about $3000 So I guess I will go with an average of the two lower ones?
