What is the name of your state? Dalifornia
During the past 2 plus years I have lived and cared for an elderly friend. I spent over $10,000. on food, medecine and maintenence of the home.
I was told many times to save my receipts and that I would be reinbursed at a later date. Knowing that my friend is very wealthy I concidered this a form of savings. Now my friends children have commited her to a nursing home and they refuse to acknowledge the debt. When my frirnd was admitted to the hospitol her children immediatley Quit claimed the hpuse (valued at $1,000,000) into their names. Her brother had power of attorney at this time. The children insist that it is up to the brother(their uncle) tp settle this with me. I have every receipt for every cent that I am claiming.
They want me to vacate the house so that they can sell it, but how can I when they have all my money? What can I do??? THey have also tried to intinidate me, cut of, literally, my phone lines and trying to make my life unbearable.

What proof do you have that this was promised you? Is it just your word against this elderly person that may or may not have been all there at the time? Were you getting paid on top of this? Why in the world would you let the debt get that large before doing something about it? Have you talked to the person you cared for? (that is if they are capable)
