Really? Why is that? You'd prefer that I lie down and take it? Not happening. I'll work for as long as it takes to make the complaint process FAIR or until there is SOME TYPE of accountability for the veterinary profession.
The vet was NEGLIGENT. She ALTERED his records. She LIED to the state board.
Call me obsessed or whatever other names you want to call me. I could care less. AND I know the truth. I certainly did not post here for the benefit of the narcissists here that feel the need to judge and ridicule. You have not walked in my shoes. My post was for the OP.
This particular type of loss is much different than the typical loss of a pet. Perhaps you might understand by reading the following, but I'm not counting on it.

Many of us have walked in your shoes, as MANY of us have lost pets that we've loved dearly. Your post was for the OP, but CJane was correct in advising against your opinion.
You have no right to minimize other peoples' losses. This thread is not about your situation anyway. The OP received appropriate answers already.

I would respectfully disagree that appropriate advice had been provided. Otherwise I would not have replied.

I did NOT want to post to this site to begin with. FAR too many of the regular posters here are rude, self-serving, narcissists whose main goal is not to help, but to ridicule others' opinions and/or ridicule them as a human being. Many of you enjoy intimidating and ganging up on others as well - all in an attempt to feed your massive egos. Perhaps the name of the site should be changed to something much more appropriate - like Free Ridicule or Free Intimidation. How is it helpful or considerate of your fellow human being to have a signature line such as 'you can't fix stupid'?
I looked at the OP's profile to see if there was a way to contact him/her without posting here. If there was, I missed it. I felt it was important to reach out to the OP. So, against my better judgment, I posted my advice for the OP. The ONLY reason I posted my website address is because there is a contact link on the site if the OP was so inclined to use it. Where do you deduce that I was trying to minimize other peoples' losses? I NEVER did any such thing. Losing a pet to the negligence of another unexpectedly IS much different than your pet passing away from old age or disease. That is FACT. Nothing is being minimized.
Finally, some of you really need to sharpen up on your reading comprehension skills. They are sorely lacking.

Here's an update
It's been two months since this all happened and I've taken the time to cool down and really think about and research things.
I got a copy of the records from the vet and I discovered that the third vet lied in them. He said that I didn't want to get an xray done. This is not true. I asked him about getting one done and he basically said that there was no point in getting one done at that time and how there was no point in me spending money for a bunch of xrays. So then why lie about it in the records? He didn't even have to write anything about xrays in the records, unless he was trying to cover his own butt. I believe this lie was written while I was still in the exam room, before the blood results came back.
I believe that xrays should have been done. Two days later when I took my cat back in for treatment, I told the tech/assistant that if they wanted to do xrays they could. They did xrays then and found the heart problems. Nothing had changed over those two days except an overall deterioration. The reason the vet didn't want to do xrays to begin with still existed, so why do them then?
I really find this all very suspicious.
