What is the name of your state? CA - I'm working night shift 6 pm to end of shift. Does the '2 hour off with pay' pertain to me also? One car family - husband gets home approx. 5:30pm - this will put me at least an hour late for work. What is the name of your state?

You have the entire day to vote where you are not working. The point of a law requiring time off to vote is for those people that may be working for the majority of the voting time and not able to make it to a polling place while polls are open without getting off work. You don't have that issue. You have a transportation problem. That is different.

Absentee

We donot own a car and often the pollin gplace is NOT walking distance what my wife and I and have done for years is vote via absentee ballot! In fact our votes are already in as we voted last week! This might help but not for this election.
