What is the name of your state? Michigan

I recently asked my manager to cut back on days of availability to exclude weekends, due to my primary responsibility as a stay at home mon, and to accomidate my husband's occasional weekend work.

The manager told me I had to give up a part time management position and take a potential hourly pay cut.

This reduction of availibity, is still greater than what my original availalility was. My original availability when I was hired was Tuesday thru Friday.

Can they take away a part-time management position, or cut my hourly pay rate? I am or will be a hourly employee in either position.

My employer is a big multi-state employer in the video rental business.

*** Yes. As long as the employer is in compliance with minimum wage requirements, they can cut your pay and adjust your 'position' anyway that they see fit.
