What is the name of your state?calif:
I was arrested in 1979 in the state of new mexico and extradited to calif on a GTA
charge..I lost my home my belongings and had to leave 5 children behind.The state of calif
not careing that the children were alone...they held me in jail for 4 months sent me to court
and sentenced me to 1 yr suspended and 2 yrs probation..upon release from jail i was homeless
and broke,and of course wanted my children,after getting threat after threat from Probation officer
about being returned to jail because i had no money i skipped out,was arrested again in 1984 and again lost all
and was placed on probation again in calif homeless..I left again and came home to new mexico
have led a law abideing life raised my kids, now 18 yrs later the is a violation warrant out on me again is
there no statue of limitations ...the warrant was issued in 1984.
please help i'm now 63 years old and disabled

you need the help of an attorney. handling it on your own is not a good idea from your past experiences.

warrants do not expire.

-from your post, the warrant sounds like a violation of probation and it will not expire. Regardless of the fact that you "now" lead a law abiding life you still owe the state of California.

And no the State does not care if you have children, the state did not place them in the situation of being without a parent, you did. And having children does not release you from your obligation of following the law. You should have learned this the first to times.

Now that your children are grown, you have no excuse not to fulfill your pennance for the crime you commited, regardless if you are disabled.

You're 63 years old for God's sake, start acting like it and show your children how a "law abiding" citizen follows the laws as well as the penalties for breaking them and doesn't try to circumvent them.
