What is the name of your state? Colorado

I have a warrant for my arrest out of Colorado. Violation of Probation. I wrote some bad checks that were felonies. I was convicted on three counts, and received 8 years probation and was ordered to pay restitution. I was 18 years old when this happened I am 30 now. I was on probation for 4 years before I violated (not reporting didn’t have the money to pay).

I now live in a different state and I know there is an active warrant on NCIC. I have made 180 degree turn around haven’t committed any crimes and am now a computer professional working at the same company for 4 years have a 8 year old son and 5 year old daughter. What would be the best way to take care of the warrant and how harsh will the courts be if I get picked up or turn myself in?

Thanks in advanced

The courts might tend to look on you a lot better if you turned yourself in. Hire an attorney in CO to work it out. You will almost certainly have to appear and likely be in custody for at least a short period of time. But, you may well be able to keep away from serious time.

If they catch you, you will likely face the full wrath of the system. Plus, it will happen at the most inconvenient time, guaranteed.

i agree

you must owe them $$$. get your attorney or someone that can barter really well and have them contact the officer in charge of your case at the probation office. after hearing of your saintly life; he or she will probably just ask for the money to be paid in full and at the very most - a small stint in jail.
