What is the name of your state? in

I was wondering. When applying for wc do they give the payment in one lump sum or is it given out on a monthly basis? Also, how long does wc last if it's for an injury or disability?

There are many different kinds of payments that might be due an injured employee, depending on the circumstances, so it's impossible ot answer your question. If you're asking about indemnity payments (i.e. disability income if you're injured and unable to work for a period of time), that is typically paid on a weekly basis.

The answer to your question "how long does it last" cannot be provided. It lasts as long as the person is unable to work or until the claim is settled.

Length of Time on Collection WC?

Beth,
Does the length of time a injured employee gets paid from WC depend on what state you are in? I am in Louisiana and ruled totally disabled. I was wondering in your response to the thread asking that question if it is a lifetime or if it varied in different states. Thank you!
