We had a gorgeous 82 degree day. It even rained a little, which we badly needed since it hasn't rained here since Gustav "hit" on Sept. 1st.

I say "hit" because it was really no more than a bad thunderstorm, thankfully.

Yeah, but I have an aunt who has a PhD in English - taught for years at the University level - and I can't read an email from her w/out correcting the grammar first.

Also, she's a freaking grown-up. I always feel like I'm responding to a 17 year old, but this woman is older than me AND more educated.

Plus, I hate you. It's dreary here. Raining, slightly cold, just generally bleh. Think I'm gonna chill a bottle of wine and dig out the comfy socks.

you know, the weather over here in Cali has been rather finicky. first it's cold (what happened to my summer??) then it got so hot for two days straight, i think i melted a little bit, then it got cold for two days. even had the audacity to drizzle a little bit. now today, it's hot if you stand in the sun and breezy if you stand in the shade.

i'm so confused now

I know that feeling! At this time of year, we have to have our summer AND winter clothes out, which sucks.

Last week, we had several mornings that it was 50 degrees when we left for school, but by noon is was almost 90. That's a 40 degree difference.

Either be hot or cold. Not both. Take your pick and stay that way.

(BTW, 50 is darn near freezing here.)

i have got to ask. who is kelly? is that a name of any and all trolls? i ventured to another law advice forum (*gasp*) and saw someone calling a poster (jimmiesgirl) kelly.

i'm going to ask OP like i ask my son when he is being admonished....

It's probably 50 here now which wouldn't be bad if it wasn't rainy. I haven't had my AC on since the end of July, so I shouldn't be complaining, but I'm a girl who wants it to be either summer or winter. The in-between makes me (and my sinuses) crazy.

I don't know who Kelly is. I think that was before my time.

But, it's really funny because my wife's name is Kelly. So whenever I see that, I have to laugh. Because my wife is NOT a troll, even though she accidentally dyed her hair a rather 'trollish' color.
