I noticed in a recent posting that a videographer that was hired by a venue to video tape something had to have releases from everyone in order to sell it and if someone said they didn't want their child video taped then he would have to "blur" it out or not sell the tape. I am thinking of starting a Video service to Videotape Weddings and receptions and sell them to the Bride and Groom/Parents etc. Do I have to get releases from "Uncle Harriett" (and everyone else for that matter) if I videotape them in the background at the event? I am selling the video for profit. I've gotten royalty free background music so I'm covered there but I want to cover my basis in this area as well. Thank you.
