I had accidently become pregnant through a one-night-stand, I want to keep the child but I have no emotional ties to the father. If he doesn't want anything to do with the child and I am ok with that, can he sign off all rights and leave me as the sole legal and physical gaurdian? If so, will I ever have rights to pursue him about child support in the future?

A man cannot "sign off" his parental rights....even if you want him to. It is the responsibility of BOTH parents to support their child. If for some reason this does happen though......once it's done, you can never pursue him for CS....he is no longer considered the father. If he doesn't want anything to do with the child, and you are okay with that, then just don't establish paternity as him as the father. This automatically leaves you with sole custody because you are the only recognized parent. However, if you don't establish paternity, you cannot collect CS, and he is still free to come back anytime to ask he be determined the father thru DNA testing, and then he gets visitation.

So you want to make sure you can go after him years from now for money but don't want him to ever have the right to see the child? Also, you don't want the CHILD to ever have the right to see him?

The Pregnancy was not planned!!!!!!!!!! And I do not intend on going after him for child support in the future, but he thinks I will even if he signs off all rights and I want to find a way to cut him off completely if he doesn't want a part of this childs life!

Umm, when one has sex, unless they have had a hysterectomy, or have completed menopause, or their partner has been snipped, they may very well get pregnant UNLESS they are both very proactive to prevent it.

I am sorry, but "I didn't plan the pregnancy" is the same as "I didn't do much to prevent it". Bottom line is, you chose to be sexually involved with someone before you knew them well, and now there is a child with two biological parents. He will have a right, if he pursues it, to file for joint legal custody and custody/visitation. You will need to be able to prove WHY he should have no role in his child's life. And you can likely only terminate his rights if an adoption occurs and he is at that time willing.

Umm...lol...even the "snip" isn't guaranteed....I know of two babies who were born when dad had been snipped...and yes, DNA proved dad the father.
