What is the name of your state? georgia

I'm guilty, 66 in a 50 and I'm going to pay it. But out of curiosity, does the officers badge number and name not written on the citation matter?

The official copy of the citation is at the courthouse. I suspect it is signed. You just got a courtesy copy.

Seniorjudge,

Can't write that as an axiom. In New Mexico, not all citations go to the courthouse....just the ones handled by a judge.

You are correct; we have a traffic violations bureau in Missouri so those tickets do not go to the courthouse either so I will change my advice to:

The official copy of the citation is at the courthouse or otherwise in the hands of the government. I suspect it is signed. You just got a courtesy copy.
