I own a domain name that I use to promote a book I wrote. The book is published and fully copywrited. The domain name is the partial title of my book. It is a very sought after domain.
In the past 2 days I have gotten hundreds (maybe even thousands) of undeliverable emails sent from connie@"mydomainname".com. The company made up an email address with my domain name, so the emails getting bounced back are coming to me. I found out the company name and the phone number. I contacted ILCCFBI.GOV (they are looking into it). I want to contact a lawyer, but have no idea what kind of lawyer to seek? Is it copywrite? Defamation? I am sure there are hundreds of things I can add to this. I live in NC.
Does anyone know what type of laws this company broke and what type of lawyer is needed.
Thank you
