What is the name of your state? Iowa

Someone i know has lots of blackmail of me stealing stuff, about 10 counts, and maybe 80 dollars worth of stuff. He keeps making me do these gay(literally) things, or he will turn them in. Should i let him turn me in, what would the punishment be? Isn't blackmail illegal, so if I went to the cops, said I was being blackmailed over something illegal i did, would the charges still stand or what??
Please respond
Thanks very much
Nathan

The store owner could choose to press charges, but simply going to the police and telling them your situation will do no good. They'll eventually have to tell the store owner what you did, and the store owner can choose what to do from there. But if I were a store owner, I'd much rather hear it from the kid than from the police.

If you want to confess, go to a priest. If you want to do the right thing, go back to the store. Unless of course you enjoy doing these things to your buddy...

You might end up in trouble, but that's your own fault. The suggestion you got was pretty good and might be your best option. If you don't like that one you can always suck it up and deal with it the way you have been.

Then your choices are simple: call the cops (or have your parents do it if you are underage), or you can go to jail eventually for the thefts. If you don't act on it, when you DO get caught and you try to tell them you were coerced into the thefts nobody will buy it and you'll go down.

Your choice.

Maybe I misunderstood the OP

Are you saying that at some point you shoplifted a number of items, your 'friend' either found out or was involved, and now he is threatening to turn you in unless you preform sex acts for him?
If that is the case, what you did was wrong but what your friend is doing is also wrong and you don't have to let it continue. He is abusing you and you should tell an adult, if you are afraid to tell your parents, tell a teacher or other trusted adult. You may have to face some punishment for the shoplifting, but it will more likely be returning the items, and some community service rather than actually have to go to juvie.
Don't be scared because you made some mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, your friend is taking advantage of your fears and guilt.
Own up to the mistakes and take control of your life. What this person is doing to you is wrong.
Good luck.
