When Does Child Support Stop?

New wife situation

I really hate to say this but every new woman in a man's life appears to worry more about the money he is paying to his kids than he ever was.
The kids sounds like he needs help. Ever offered to tutor him. Ever offer to pay for tutoring. Ever offer to pay for testing. Ever offer love and comfort to a troubled child . I think that is all past tense since he is 18, but I would stop using this child as a weapon between 2 people and see what he needs to succeed.
I would not want a child like that moving in next door. I would fear for his future. I am not sure that his future is your concern as much as the continuation of support.
If the child were disabled you would have to helping out much longer and suppose he is.
Are you prepared to really step in and assist a child with his future or do you fear that responsibility. It does take a lot to raise a child and even more so when they come from damaged relationships. Even worse when they are put in the middle.
