What is the name of your state?NY

I pay my ordered child support and I believe that my children are well taken care of. I know that different times of the year require that my child support go to different areas. At this point I have taken inventory of many things that my children have and I've taken into consideration the many of things that my money could possibly go towards.

My question is, can a court make my ex show where my support goes? I'm asking because I'm not so sure lately that it is going towards their needs. Again I have taken into consideration the many of things it goes towards (i.e. utilities, food, automotive, clothing, medical, and on and on).

Unforuntaely not. There are only 5 states that can require the CP to account for where she spends child support. I too tried to look into it and my state Alabama only says I can request the judge make her give an accounting. I am sure you can find which states do have some accountabilty on the internet. Good luck. I have been trying for years.

First, I already informed our writer that he cannot obtain an "accounting" - - so that portion of your response was redundant.

Second, our writer is from New York - - not Alabama. So, since his CS order is out of New York, why would he be interested in locating other "states [that] do have some accountabilty"?

So, what was the purpose of your response when you added nothing of any substance?

A good part was paying off her deadbeats husbands debts which is invaluable in the courtroom. I have had 5 years experience in the county courthouse and have won joint custody and a reduction in child support in three different cases all instigated by my ex and all won from taking the defensive position to an offensive one. Sadly if you don't want to lose your shirt you have to be that way.

MY RESPONSE: Yes, I do. Alabamans are usually uneducated and can't read - - much like yourself.

I don't know what false religion you are into, but Genesis states MAN was formed in Gods on image. I don't know about thunder and lightning but judgement day will come and we will all answer to Him. As far as your line about before they cam and arrested Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane I don't get tyour point. Dudes - this isn't a religious board. Take it somewhere else.

NY does not permit an accounting of how CS is spent unless it is grossly obvious that the kids are not clothed, fed or sheltered. It's that simple. The courts simply do not have the time to spend on this sort of trivia. OP has stated from the get-go that the children are well taken care of. The court is not going to get involved.

Sorry Stealth2. You are right. I just got a little ticked at Belizze and IALL because they are such butholes and obviously have a serious anger management problem. I should not let myself get drawn into an argument with a bunch of lost souls that seem to like being lost. I won't be drawn into another argument like that. Thanks for the NY information. I did not know which states allowed accounting of CS. That is all I was suggesting that he look into it when IAAL and Belize went looking for an argument.
