What is the name of your state? NC
I am starting a new busienss and need to set up an LLC. However, I am confused as to whether to incorporate in my state or use another state to lower taxes such as Wyoming. Is using another state very entailed? I have read so much about the benefits of incorporating in another state but am wondering if it is more costly and would I be better of just setting up in my home state? Any guidance to this issue would be highly appreciated.

Delaware does not have any incorporation taxes. That is why virtually every large Fortune 500 companies are incorporated there.

Deleware's Not The only place

Nevada *though a bit more expensive, and Wyoming are most likely better places oppose to DE, if you are not going public anytime soon. WY and NV have no state tax or corp tax and more irs advantages than DE. At anyrate the best way to compare your choice between your home state and an alternate state may be the taxes that are required in your state verses the outside state.... you won't need more that a local address and registered agent to inc. outside, however if you are doing business in your home state you will have to file a foriegn business filing within your home state as well. . . . there are multiple possibilities here.

Hope this helps a bit ... if you have other questions just send me a private email.
