What is the name of your state? North Carolina

Our mother passed away recently. In her will, she left her 1/2 of her house and land and her residual property to myself and my sister and a couple of specific items to her son (our brother).

Our brother has a quit claim deed to a portion of this property because our deceased sister was part owner with our mother. Our brother obtained the quit claim deed from our sisters husband. There are also two children involved in sisters estate. Our sister did not have a will.

Our mother also appointed us (daughters) as executors of the will. We are
trying to clean up the property and dispose of furniture and items that are not worth anything--such as old grills, etc.....

Brother is not helping in the clean up or mowing or anything. We have asked if he wants anything from the house and he says No. We told him that we planned to remove the wood and we were going to share it with him. He became angry and said that our cousins gave it to him because they cut it up for our mother. He said that it was his wood because he gave it to our mother. We informed him that it went with the estate and we needed to clean up the property and we could use it so we were going to all share it.
He said fine, but we could not touch the logs on the other side of the property. In the meantime, he has moved his van in the middle of the driveway so that we can not get up into the back of the property to pick up wood, unload our mowers to mow or remove furniture from the house. He says he owns more of the property than we do and we are stealing from him. We managed to get into the property and pick up half of the wood. He is angry now and is threatening to sue us for the wood.

What do we do about him? He refuses to sell the house or be reasonable about anything concerning this property. He only sits back and says he owns 1/2 of the property.
