My husband and I are trying to buy a home and because of bad credit are having difficulty. His father has agreed to co-sogn on the mortage, but wants to be the principal owner. My husband now tells me that because of this my name can not be on the deed. Is this so?

My advice still stands: this sentence bothered me. OP may wake up one day and find out that she and hubby do not own the land.
