Ain't that the sad, sad truth. But here is a real question. I paid her for my 1/2 of my son's medical expensess due last month. She has not paid them. The insurance and all of that is under my name. Since we have gone to trial (Dec '05) I have been sending her the extra CS money. I'm not behind and I have all my receipts. I get a call today that when she gets her CS money for April (the extra amount), she will pay the medical bill. Is this right? I paid my 1/2 a long time ago and now she tells me she is sitting on this until she gets her April money!!!!!!!!!!!!WTF!!!!!!!!!! Shouldn't she have already paid for that when I gave her my share?????? Everything is under MY NAME>>>>>>>

Maybe she simply doesn't have the money?

And L, I understand that. However, when the medical bills come up, she is quick to notify me and I'm quick to sending her the money. I already paid my 1/2, a long time ago. Is it OK that she levy this upon me after I have already paid? And you know, this is the part that bothers me, if she would to just say, "Hey, can you cover me until....." I'd do it in a flash. Instead her approaches are threatening, she's to proud to do that, she is still bringing up stuff that happened when we were together. Years and years ago. We are booth re-married and have other children (mine new one is comming in July).

Well here's an angle you might consider: When it's time to pay my children's medical after ins. the X pays his 1/2 (His income is 3x mine) and I pay my 1/2- but my 1/2 is made in payments according to my budget. My X likes to complain that I don't pay it all at once or on 'his' schedule...but 'his' schedule is not 'my' schedule, and he was told as much through the courts. I contact the providers and always arrange payments. My X complained the ins. was in his name also- so what? It doesn't go on his credit report as long as I am in contact with the providers and making my payments. When my X (who complains about everything- so in that sense I am not comparing you 2 :o ) brought this up in court- a very irritated judge advised him to concentrate on the "relevant issues" instead of "nitpicking".

So, maybe you can ask the X to contact the providers and let them know when she will be paying- just so the accounts keep in good standing. She may not want to have to 'ask' you to "Cover her" when she knows she will have the $ on X date. What $ she uses is her choice. This is not one of the wars to fight in the big scheme of things.

My 2c~ Take or Toss :)

I completely agree with you. And I know that this is not the sort of thing I would bring up to the judge. I've been grin-and-bearing it for a while but I know it's almost a lost cause. So I will have to get "over it".

And of course provide the Dr.s with copy of the court order stating she pays 1/2. When you pay your 1/2, keep the receipts. If you ever see any of the bills listed on your credit report you can challenge it, provide the court documentation and your receipts and have it removed.

Hey stealth, does this baseball discussion count as "hijacking a thread?"
Hmmmm.

Not when she's responding to the OP about a topic the OP brought up. A "hijack" is when someone interjects into an OPs thread their OWN issue/story/question...which detracts from the OP getting their input/answers. In this case, the response was following the normal course of conversation with the OP.

Okie Dokie, thanks for clearing that up :)
