I dont have public housing i rent a three bedroom. And thats what aevery apartment told me when i was trying to find a place to stay

But that is not a law - that is the landlord's criteria. Pretty much because they don't want to see a family of 10+ people crammed into a 2 BR apartment and trashing it. It has nothing to do with law, sugah. Nothing.

That makes perfect sense! I wonder if that's why Tx does it. My house was a total disaster for those months.

Well, I could respond how that would really make one's head red - but I'm too demure and proper to say that.

The last time I looked, Las Vegas was still a part of Nevada. And NRS 125(C) is the state statute that regulates child visitation:

Sorry chub, but it's not in there. In fact, nowhere in the entire NRS 125, the state statutes of Nevada regarding divorce, support, visitation and custody is the residence of the Non-custodial parent even mentioned, much less what type of residence is required.

Next time be very careful about telling this board you 'KNOW' something. I'm liable to come back here and stick it in your ass again.

It is the law. I was in the law library today. Did you know that Nevada or las vegas,(same thing) doesn't allow for joint custody unless both parties agree. They don't really like to award joint custody. Also they don't like to separate a child from her siblings. It is what is best for the child. Also the fact that I moved often doesn't matter as long as the child is within distance for the father to contact his child. I never moved within 15 miles away fom him. There are rules for your house even when you are not using gov assistance.

law or not

Both of our houses will be inspected. He knows that he needs a bigger place. When he wrote his letter he wrote "if i am awarded custody I will get a bigger apartment to support my child with a comfortable setting. As long as he knows what he needs to do I don't care if you think it is law or not. Thank you.

Well, Shuga, I own in 2400 sq. ft stone ranch and my 6 year old STILL ends up sleeping in our room. And NO she has never seen my husband nude. It's really not very hard to change one's indies in a bathroom or slip them on under a robe. Just because they are in one roon does not mean daddy is letting her see him nude.

Hope the dad does get his own place, though.

I think you are full of crap. I lived in Nevada for years. My husband was born and raised there. His best friend was divorced there. "doesn't allow for joint custody unless both parties agree"...where do you come up with this?????
As far as the housing, again you are full of crap. Ever been to Reno..Carson City? Oh hell. Go down some of the streets. There must be 15 people living in a two bedroom apartment. There are no rules for housing, as you are describing. The landlord has a right to say how many people can live in an apartment, he/she can not say a brother and sister can not share a bedroom. That is gov assistance program, not state law. Get your facts straight before you start spouting off.

And DUH, my point about my daughter writing backwards....I am a parent. It is easy for a parent to try and diagnose their own child. We all think we know what is wrong with them. But, you and your child's teacher are not experts in the field. So you can claim she is dyslexic, but it is not a fact until you have her tested. And if she is having more problems with that, then why...as her mother, wouldn't you get the lead out of your ass and get her tested? You don't just stand there...diagnose her yourself and call it a day. Sounds like your daughter AND you both need a mother.

And what does ANY of this have to do with the fact that you don't know what you're talking about. You made the claim that it's the law that you MUST have a separate bedroom for children of different gender. Now you're talking about contact and custody.

If it's the law, then show it. If you spent all day in the law library you will have the exact citation, (chapter and verse) where the NRS states specifically that children of differing genders must have their own bedrooms.

Or,

SHUT THE HELL UP!

From post 1:
" I quit my job . Daughter might have dyslexia. She needs constent attention"

And another:
"My child might have a more serious problem. Her brain wonders. Her teachers are unable to understand my child.

As mom to a SNs kid who was severly challenged (she started attending EI classes at age three and had almost NO language abilities at the time, had minimal speech and could barely hold a crayon. She is now functioning well in a REGULAR first grade class- and is youngest in her grade) the above really bothers me. Oh- my kiddo also writes about 40% of her letters and numbers backward, but she can read words like "firefighter" and "nutcracker". The interventive services were invaluble in catching her up to her peers who had parents and homes (and proper hearing and vision, which mine also did not) from birth.

All this "...might have..." this or that problem, yet no demands of the school for an IEP, no actions by the mom to obtain interventive services or further testing (other than quitting her job and hanging out in her daughter's class all day with her). And while the child's REAL learning needs remain unaddressed, she falls further behind. Of course, if the school were accomodating the child's SNs, mom no longer would have an excuse to stay at school all day.

Sorry, failing to address the specific learning needs, in total, of your child delays their progress. If the dad asking for custody wakes you up to this, then dad has done his daughter a great service.

. One lady asked why I was I bringing up custody. Did you read the subject dumb ass.
I didn't know that I coulg get my child help beyond her school. When I asked about testing They said I have to go through her teacher. NO i can't change schools. She is zoned for the scool she is at. I have other kids too. a 3 month old, a 22 month old, and a four year old. I wen't right back to work after I had my ten pound baby. I do a good job taking care of my kids and helping my husband around this house. I will atleast take the advice about my daughter thouggh but, what am I suppose to do over christmas break for her other than teach her myself. I only love my children very much. I am finding out the laws whether you believe me or not. I hope this is the last page cause I don't want to hear from you people anymore. I got more help at the library and legal help in one day than all of you in the past couple of days. so all of you can shut the hell up.

Well now, who's the dumbass?

I have other kids too. a 3 month old, a 22 month old, and a four year old.

So, tell us when the operation is going to be. You know, the one to sew your knees together.

I wen't right back to work after I had my ten pound baby. I do a good job taking care of my kids and helping my husband around this house. I will atleast take the advice about my daughter thouggh but, what am I suppose to do over christmas break for her other than teach her myself.

Well, ain't you special. You might want to take a refresher course in English since you can't spell or even use the correct tense and your grammar comes right out of the back of a trailer. No wonder your kid is having so many problems.

I am finding out the laws whether you believe me or not. I hope this is the last page cause I don't want to hear from you people anymore.

Then leave and don't let the door hit you on that fat ass on the way out. Oh, and is this the same law you're learning that tells you (and only you) that you can't have more than one gender in the same bedroom? Guess that's one of those Mormon laws.

I got more help at the library and legal help in one day than all of you in the past couple of days. so all of you can shut the hell up.

Keep on believing that baby-factory. See ya. :D
